Accessibility Statement

ER of Irving wants every patient and family member to be able to read our pages, find our address, and call us without barriers. We are working to make erofirving.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

These measures were applied in August 2026 after a full audit with axe-core in a real browser and manual keyboard checks. We re-test after every change.

Colour contrast

Text, link, and button colours meet the 4.5 to 1 minimum across the site.

Keyboard access

Every link, button, and form field shows a visible focus ring. The skip link lands after the header on every page.

Heading order

Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, so screen readers announce the structure in sequence.

Text alternatives

Images that carry meaning have alt text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

Named links

Citation links that had no readable name were repaired, and links inside articles are underlined so they do not rely on colour.

Ongoing testing

We audit the site after changes and act on accessibility reports within two business days.

How to report a problem

If a page, document, or feature is hard to use, tell us. Here is what happens next.

1

Tell us what happened

Call (972) 893-3148, answered 24 hours a day, or email info@erofirving.com. Include the web address, a short description of the problem, and the assistive technology you were using.

2

We reply within two business days

A team member confirms the report and gives you the information or help you needed another way, by phone if that is easier.

3

We fix and re-test

Confirmed problems are corrected as quickly as we can, then the page is re-tested with automated tools and a keyboard pass.

Questions about this statement

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content usable for people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.

No website can promise that. Our pages are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: the main pages pass automated and keyboard testing, and some third-party parts do not. We keep testing and fixing, and this page is updated when the site changes.

The embedded Google map and content shown inside social media embeds are provided by third parties and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If you cannot use one of them, call us and we will give you directions or the information by phone.

Nothing on this page changes your rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, or Texas law. If we do not resolve your concern, you may contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights at hhs.gov/ocr or 1-800-368-1019.
