Care First. Paperwork Second.

Insurance & Billing

Emergency treatment always comes before payment questions. Our team verifies your coverage while you are being cared for, explains every charge, and works with you on payment options afterward.

How Billing Works at a Freestanding ER

ER of Irving is a Texas-licensed freestanding emergency room. We treat your emergency first, no matter what your coverage looks like, and sort out the paperwork with you afterward.

  • Most insurance plans are accepted, and our staff handles verification during your visit
  • Your bill may include a facility fee, which covers 24/7 staffing, equipment and emergency readiness
  • The physician who treats you may bill separately from the facility
  • Federal and Texas laws protect you from surprise bills for emergency care
  • Flexible payment plans and financial assistance are available if you need them

If anything on a bill is unclear, call us at (972) 893-3148 and ask for the billing team. A real person walks you through every line.

Insurance & Billing: Your Questions, Answered

Most major insurance plans are accepted, and our staff verifies your benefits during your visit. Bring your insurance card if you can, but never delay emergency care to look for it.

A facility fee covers what it takes to keep a fully equipped emergency room ready around the clock: physicians, nurses, imaging, lab, and monitoring equipment. It appears on emergency room bills as a separate line item.

Yes, for emergency care. The federal No Surprises Act and Texas balance-billing laws limit what you owe for emergency services to your plan’s in-network cost sharing in most cases.

The facility and the physician who treated you may bill separately, as disclosed in our HB 2041 notice. If two bills arrive and anything looks off, call us and we will walk through both with you.

Do not delay care. Emergency treatment always comes first, and our billing team works out payment plans and financial assistance options with you afterward.
